Connection of an No-NAIM Power-amp to 82

Colleagues,

The Naim system typically connects power amps to the HiCap or SuperCap and not directly to the 82; reasons stated are the common earthing point.
Alternatives are some Naim power amps, which double as the power supply and use a special connecting socket.
I’m currently using an 82 & SC and I would like to connect my AYRE V-3 power amp to this special socket (same DIN-socket-type as at the HC or SC, but with 2 pins wired for power-in).
This is done with a custom-made 4pinDIN to cinch interconnect.
Is there any technical problem to be expected (e.g.: the 2 pins for power-in could cause interference - Or any other reasons against it ?

Thanks & regards

Why don't you just take one of the Supercap outputs to the other amp, as you would a Naim power amp.

If you are powering an 82 with a SC you will be using both the HiCAP1 and HICAP2 sockets on the 82 and have the link plug between them (Link2) disconected. I'm not sure how this would affect the connectivety of the socket you refer to.

You could use either the 82 4 pin socket or the SC 4 pin socket. The 82 4 pin has only one power connection to it, this is then divided out to the other power rails in the 82 on the back of the *Cap sockets and through the link plugs. The signal and 0v pins are in the same positions on both sockets.

You're not trying to run two amps off the 82 are you?

If you mean two mono-blocks, no.
But I do connect my Stax headphone driver to one of the SC outlets.
The reason behind my question is simple: I re-arranged the "black-box jungle" and now my interconnect to one power-amp socket is very tight, if connected to the SC, but it reaches better directly from the 82.
