Alt.disco

Been listening to some alt.disco - Hercules and Love Affair. Sounds a bit like Namlook/Move D's home shopping with the synths turned down, percussion added and Antony of Antony and the Johnsons singing on top. Don't get the disco connection though. I have heard it described as sounding a bit like disco era Roxy Music, Another connection I don't get. Still, it's quite intriguing. May bear further investigation

alt.disco??

I've had the CD for a while now and I'd say it is certainly a great album. Disco? yes definitely dance music. More in the realms of Inner City / Detroit and Studio 54 though I'd say.
