Aria played on BBC golf at 1.30 today?

I was just sitting in the kitchen at 1.30pm
and I heard this lovely pure aria coming from
the TV in the living room. Flat mate was watching the Open Golf on BBC.

Any idea who the singer was and what she
was singing?

Yes, i heard the aria too, but have know idea who was singing it......beautifull.

Not sure but it sounded like something by Haydn.

The BBC has been featuring a lot of Haydn recently. Radio 3 seem to be playing his work constantly.

Haydn's bi-centanial is this year. He died in 1809.

After JS Bach he was the most numane and wonderful conposr.

Tommoorw I will look into this.

I had a hunt on the coverage as it may be reiewed on the BBC iPlayer. Sorry to say I could not find your Aria, to try to identify it.
