Kans, worth their weight in gold?

There's a pair of earlyish Kan1 on Ebay here that have already reached £250. This is without stands and with minor cosmetic flaws. It's also more than they cost in pounds when new!

So, what's going on?

I was one of the early bidders on these but I'm surprised how high they've gone considering the lack of stands.

One of the pix shows a Kan with its grill removed. Next to it is a pic of the rear label showing clearly: "Do not remove grill"
