Naim USB stick
Posted by: GreenAlex on 24 November 2010
Hi,
I was wondering where I could buy the Naim USB stick?
I'd like to get three. One for my Hifi, one for work and one for play
Just saw the picture of one in the NaimNet review
Couldn't find any in the NaimLabel/Accessories shop.

Hi GreenAlex,
I dont think you can buy them, I got mine at a evening at StudioAV when they were demo-ing S600 and DAC.
Could be wrong and some kind forum member will be able to advise.
Kind Regards

Here's a thought : Naim could send one out with the welcome letter to each new customer who registers a product.

We got one each from Studio AV too. I blew one up on the Mac by not "ejecting" it before removal.

That would be the infamous Naim balloon.

You and your alter-ego?
How can you damage a stick by not ejecting first? Just reformat it properly. Maybe use the HP disk tool.
OK, so no luck on getting a Naim USB stick. Hmmm. Guess I'll have to live with the ones I have.

No, my Mrs unlike some hereabouts, she shares many aspects of, predominantly my hobby.

I don't know, it just didn't work afterwards.

Might just be coincidence.
I have one USB stick that for some reason stopped working on linux-machines. No matter whether it's a wlan-router, a satellite receiver or a linux desktop. The kernels just don't recognize it anymore.
Works on my Windows notebook and almost all other win-computers, but not linux.
It was some free ad-stick, so didn't really care.

I'm sure the Naim memory stick sounds better ... Increased PRAT (... and if you believe that you probably are one!)

I just like the way they look, although of course they are "ordinary" sticks. The black and green just looks very nice
For everyday work and portability I prefer the small PicoC and Verbatim Store n' go Micro.
Sticks that are just big enough to house the chip plus the connectors. Plus they are usually faster than those bulky ones.
