Saw this on Ebay and wanted to get your comments.
Ebay Advert
There's been a lot of threads recently, especially from Tom Alves, on the quality of Nonsuch speakers but wondered how financially stable the company were if resorting to this kind of advertising. I undserstand that it must be difficult for any new start up to get noticed but at the price of the speakers do you think this tends to cheapen the image a bit.

Syd you make a fair point.
As far as I can see though the guy just has a sense of humour.

A very imaginative way of getting noticed, which commands my respect. Far better than spam.

FYI They are given a paragraph with a picture in this month's HiFi News in the "waht's new" section, which is a bit more conservative but tends to suggest financial viability

Steve Margolis is a superb guerilla marketing man. He manages to drum up interest in his products with very little expenditure.
If he applies the same ethos of maximising the impact of every penny spent on his products, they should be excellent at their price.

Hi all
I thought I would just come in at this point to explain that the adverts have been withdrawn by eBay because they say that they violate their links policy. In fact the eBay entries did not contain links at all. For those interested, the adverts have been posted on Audiogon.
I hope that they provide an amusing break from your discussions about the number of dimensions in our world.
Thank you for your interest.

Hi Patrick
Sorry mate, I've gone the Nuclear route before. Never again. I bought a power supply from the States - a town called Springfield. I even got a chap called H Simpson to run it for me. I'm still receiving hate mail from sheep farmers in Wales.
Unfortunately I don't own the actual Ironbridge but I am negotiating to exchange it for a good condition Shure V15XMR (just needs a new stylus).
As you can imagine, I've had many amusing enquiries from people interested in purchasing my Ultimate Power Supply. The one that I liked best was:
Q. Will I fit it into my Jeep Cherokee?
A. Yes, but you may have to make more than one trip.
Doh!
