I like this one by Therion, I don't know why but I get drawn to it.

Hair, teeth, cardigan - all now, sadly, a millennium ago.

That'll be one of those new, cardboard-sleeved, 7", vinyl, mono, 45 r.p.m. CDs then? That'll be two shillings and thruppence ha'penny please Sir.

Although it is nice to see ladies etc on little covers in CD boxes etc, I was perhaps most pleased when I eventually realized that if you reversed Kraftwerk 'Autobahn' CD cover you can then get nice blue-white Motorway picture as on LP sleeve. Until I discovered this, I refused to purchase Autobahn CD.

This is the best one. Now let's just think about this for a moment:
"Hey Lenny, I've got it. Lets have you on a big raft with an outboard playing your organ, being pulled behind a speedboat, don't worry - you won't see the rope, and you are looking sideways at this chick facing backwards on one leg on a single water-ski! We can call the album Down South".
"Fuck Hank, you're a genius. Let's do it right now. Can the dog come too?".
"Don't be fucking stupid Lenny, that'd look crap!"

Back to the thread, my favorite all time album cover is Atom Heart Mother. As a kid I thought it was so cool to have no writing on it, and it just looked so good. When I got my copy I was about 13 and it had a real magic to it which has stayed with me. Otherwise Yessongs, which was awesome. 20 years later I asked Roger Dean to sign it for me (via a mate), and he kept it for about a year; said he hadn't seen it for ages and just borrowed it. I got him to sign Fragile & Close To The Edge too while he was at it. These album covers just remind me of when I was a kid and was so in awe by the whole thing.
