optimal cable length?

I tried to double cable length, using 10m instead of 5m
of NACA5 between the sbl and NAP250. It seemed to help –
to some extent but then I felt it was “slowing down”
the sound. So I stick to the 5m length. However, since
all three components (amp, cable, and speaker) are defined,
there must be an optimal cable length. Any opinion?

Similar topic is cable type from the electric meter to the
wall outlet. Should it be 2.5 quadrat mm or 4 or even thicker,
I wonder. Should it be solid core other stranded? Should it
be some special type (maybe from Naim Audio)? I understand that
these cables (running inside the wall) are inaccessible in most
cases but I got a separate outlet and the cable needs to run
only 4 meter long. Any opinion, again?
