Favorite currently active violinist

Who is your favorite currently active violinist?
Mine is probably Ann-Sophie Mutter but Itzhak Perlman is a close second with Maxim Vengerov and Julia Fischer the ones to watch in the future.

I'm more interested in pianists generally, so I'm not as up on violinsts, but some I like performing now:

Hilary Hahn
Anne Sophie Mutter (from roughly Berg forward)
Corey Cerovsek (on the strength of his LvB violin sonatas alone)
Mirjam Tschopp
Miriam Kramer

I'm probably missing a few, and I'm obviously excluding violinists in ensembles (ie, string quartets). For instance, I find Thomas Zehetmair more interesting as part of his quartet than as a solo artist.

far and away, shlomo mintz.

he has the most perfect intonation and the most beautiful tone of any violinist i have heard.

the paganini caprices, prokofiev violin sonatas and prokofiev violin concertos with abbado/chicago are all landmark recordings.

I'm surprised that Rachel Podger hasn't yet been mentioned. Her Bach is superb and if you ever see her playing, she seems to get as much enjoyment from it as she gives.

And in concert nothing can beat Nigel Kennedy
