Yes i agree with you Stu but i hope its not at the expense of finally killing off EMI.

I don't think the Floyd will do that. Seems EMI are doing a good job of sorting that themselves.

I have never understood the desire to sell individual only tracks on itunes. I am sure they must sell far less overall this way with most youngsters just buying the one hit they know. Let's hope more bands move this way as well to preserve the integrity of the album

I have absolutely no desire to see EMI fold - but they do need to look very seriously as to just what they now are.
The amount of money they have made and still stand to make from album royalties is simply huge - yet they seem to be able to squander it better than most football clubs at present.

Just what PF members (surviving) need a few more quid.

Bunch of venture capitalists running the show. Complete knuts who don't give a duck for the music, and were relying on a rising market to clear the mountain of debt that they took on to acquire EMI. That hasn't happened so said knuts are on their knees.

I'd shoot the duckers (on that zebra crossing).

Lets be fair - I think there's a couple of Ferrari models that Nick Mason doesn't own yet...! Winker

p.s. But to be serious, I'm glad they won.

So we won't see Scream Thy Last Scream (Old Woman in a Casket) on iTunes - that's a shame - one of their best ever tracks.

You're unlikely to see it anywhere because Dave doesn't want it released, and Roger doesn't care one way or another.

Still, it's widely available on bootlegs and via the internet - often in very good quality...
