Rumour of a Pink Floyd tour 2009!

Its Gilmour!

I saw them live in 94 when I likes them, but find it all a bit insipid now and gilmour seems to have lost the will. And waters sounds worse than usual and cannot play bass.

I probably would go, if it costs what it did in 94 which was 45 quid, but somehow I doubt it.

Who was talking in this video? This rumour has been rattling round since Live8 (nearly 3 years ago now) and nothing has come of it. It'll be nice if true, but I'm not going to hold my breath.

personally id love to see it happen but i doubt it will.
ive given up on this never ending rumour a long time ago.
mr gilmour wont put himself out to accomodate mr waters anymore....me thinks.

Gilmour was reported as saying he wouldn't want to "return to that old thing again". I think to be honest he's probably right. They were Gods in their day and their albums will remain as the soundtrack of my youth and I'll always return to them, but when they play live - it's just the same as the set they've played over the past 20 years. I think if we're not careful, we'll kill it stone dead, and I don't want to be bored by Floyd. I liked them too much for that.

I remember seeing Pink Floyd once and nearly twice. Well actually I think one of Pink Floyd,Dave Gilmour walked past me on the way out of a Rickie Lee Jones gig many years ago. Indeed I think he was at the Steely Dan gig at Hammersmith Odeon last year. I think he may be stalking me. As for the other members of the band I wouldn't recognise them so they may be following me too. Maybe I should see them in concert as a sort of way of getting back at them.

Should I increase my medication Munch?

Maybe you should go just to recognise that one of them is your brother-in-law and another is that guy you see in the pub every Tuesday evening.
