All time al***s...?

All-time favourite album has to be 'The Songs of Distant Earth' by Mike Oldfield. Not only is it an epic musical journey, but it tests most aspects of a system's capabilities. Check out the opening minute, it'll tell you a lot about your system...!
Anybody else got recommendations for me? :-)

Gavin

No one's mentioned The Doors - LA Woman.
True classic.

I think a lot of our appriciation for music comes from upbringing. where you heard classical as a kid, or that was the circles you were bought up with then that indeed may be more your bag.
Where as dole scum like us listened to the commoner garden music such as steps.
Its a pointless argument anyway if it flouts your boat then job done. For me classical takes too long, I need a big hit and now!. Does that make me thick?
Best album of all time.. Umm..
Something by Pink floyd because that is my childhood music. Mabye Animals, or Wish you were here.

No wait, the Wall.
Ah shit, time to come out the closet, I like Saucer Full of Secrets, I think it was the big old organ sounds that got me.
Which reminds me, saucerfull, Big Organ, DV XX-1 I feel some neighbour annoyance coming on.

Nanci Griffith;“One fair summer evening” recorded live on 12/8/88 at Anderson Fair, Huston Texas. best track "Spin On A Red Brick Floor".
Emma Kirkby; Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s “Exsultate Jubilate”. Side 1 track 1.
Two oldies, after all these years Nanci still makes me cry and Emma offers a good sing along in latin. Pure emotion when needed, what more can you want from your music?
