Naim AV2

Thinking about getting one of these but I have a couple of questions and wonder if anyone can help.

What crossover options are there for bass management? i.e. is it a fixed 80Hz crossover for any speakers set to "small" or are there other options?

For stereo listening, I would be using a DVD player as a transport and utilising the AV2's internal DAC's which I would expect to give a pretty good sound (as it does with current processor - Tag AV32R). Does the AV2 have a stereo + sub mode (like the Tag does) where just bass management but no other processing is applied?

This works very well on the Tag by the way and it avoids having to run a high level lead to the sub plus having to set the crossover on the sub.

Thanks in anticipation.

Bas cut-off frequency is fixed at 70 Hz.
The AV2 has 3 stereo modes: one is straight though, analog from input to output so no bass management in it, the other is converted to digital and back to analog, the third is from a digital source, if you set your main speakers to small, low freq will go to the sub. Of course the all analog one sounds better if you have the right source. On a midrange DVD player, it sounds better using the AV2 digital input and DACs.

Thanks for your help Emmanuel. 70Hz is perfect as are the various stereo modes.

I could be about to join the Naim club Wink
