I used to have a Rohmann. It worked fine. I found that the volume had to be over 11 O`clock before the sound came to life, though that will depend on the sensitivity of the speakers you use

Ross -
How have you boxed the Prefix? Or is it just left au naturel?
Tim (trying to figure out how to Prefix a P9...)

Neil,
I'm running the MC Rohmann with K prefix in my LP12. It's a great combination, and I find no difference in terms of how far I have to turn up the vol compared to the S boards the prefix replaced. I'd have no hesitation about recommending the combination.
Cheers, Jens

My prefix is bolted to a small slab of 12mm mdf fitted with four inset compliant feet. Like Ross` it sits neatly on the shelf directly under the arm. I had to send the prefix to Naim for modification...the "armlead" is now about 7 inches long, and of course, I had an SME plug fitted. I have no hesitation about recommending the SME/Orbe/Prefix combination

Tim,
Vuk's got his Velcro'd to the bottom of his P9. The connections, I believe, are hardwired.
