Cd5(Hi) vrs CDX (again !)

Sorry about repeating this well trodden thread, but I have to relate my expierence (well I dont have to but I will anyway 
)
I have been contemplating upgrading my CD5+hi to a CDx for some time, but after reading many threads on this topic I have been a little wary, so with a good deal of treperdation I set out to find a good s/h CDx (not that many around funny enough) anyhow I tracked one down (thanks Geoff) and installed it in my system last night (this upgrade also allowed me to have 2 hicaps on my 82).
Ok so what happened ?
The sonic difference was trully "jaw dropping" (sorry another well trodden thread !) I realy wasnt expecting this to be such an upgrade, the clarity of high, mid and low frequencies with all the extensions is superb.
So is it better (subjective word !)than a CD5+hi Yes it is, in every possible respect. Can a CDx be placed on a Stands unique 10mm glass shelf Yes it most certainly can is it "Wild" no most definatly not.
My only question is what do I contribute to this massive upgrade
is it the CDX or the 2nd Hicap on the 82 ?
But do I realy care for the answer ?

It's also encouraging to know that someone else apart from me is using Stands Unique. It's a name that doesn't ever seem to get mentioned on here and I'm loathe to talk about it, lest I start another 'stand-war'. Sounds like you're happy with the way it works with a naim system anyway
