Formatting an external drive

Can anyone run through the procedure for formatting a NTFS external drive(Seagate Free Agent) into a FAT32 one?

If it is formatted to fat 32 it will show up on either. I am not sure how to format drives on a PC if on a mac it's rather simple.

OK the Freeagent drive is now being seen by my MAC,but it won't delete any of the 4 files left on it,it's giving an error code-61.
I don't need these files or can get them else where, should I just re-format any way?
