Next F1 GP France

Anyone interested still in watching?

Yeah, as much of the sport goes on behind the scenes as in front, be it engineering or politics. I think this is more about getting control from Berni than anything else.
Maybe the F1 manufacturers don't care quite so much about the US market given the popularity of NASCAR/CART/IRL plus, would the 'NEW' F1 need Bridgestone?
Regards
Andy

I Don't know about France, but the British GP is already sold out.

I'll probably record it and watch it mostly on fast forward. If I remember.

Will anything Earth shattering happen at Wednesday's meeting? Don't know and sometimes don't care all that much either.

Truly looking forward to it. A Renault win on home turf would be cause for celebration.

What a fine place for Michelin to redeem themselves! For everyone sake, don't stuff it up Michelin .

Dear All,
The French have a sense of humour when it comes to revenge.
I wonder what they will cook up with regards to Bridgestone Tyres and the 3 teams who use them.
I seem to remeber Citroen winning the Monte Carlo Rally over the Mini Coopers. They had dodgy non compliant head lights with regard to the rapidly made up rules to make the headlamps illegal.
So i wonder what will happen.
Should be fun
The French can usually find a reason to disqualify when their chosen ones do not win.
regards David

The shenanigans started well before the Monte Carlo when the class structures were changed so that only the big Citroens stood any chance of winning. When the Minis still won (mostly due to the professionalism of the BMC team) the cars were stripped down and gone over several times before the lighting infringement was found. Nearly all of the British entries were disqualified, not just the Minis. The "Coupe de Dames" was won by a brit girl in a Hillman Imp, but she was disqualified and a girl who hadn't even finished the rally was declared the winner.
Of course, revenge was had the next year when the Minis won again.
