No idea! Somewhere between 'brrr' and 'yeoooow' I suspect.

Probably crisp to firm judging by the ice.

Dear Bruce,
reminds me why i moved south.
Mind you we have had the coldest summer for 50 years here in New South Wales.
I t has been down to 18c instead of normal 30-35c. Had terrific storms with torrential rain and subsequent flooding in north NSW and southern Queensland.
Even had hail here in Sydney 3 weeks ago. And 2 weeks before that out in the Western suburbs hail the size of cricket balls.
Autumn will be here soon so this weather we are having will become the normal temps for the time of year.
Tomorrow will be 30c with high humidity definitely aicon weather, then cooler and wetter for the weekend.
Spoke to my parents in Norfolk at the weekend and it was frosty and -5c so the old man could not play golf. At his age his fingers drop off in that cold.
thanks for the photos

Dunnottar Castle at dawn the day before yesterday.......
I was still coming off of two weeks night shift, so was up at 5am, it was baltic but worth the trip......need to invest in some fingerless gloves though!
Cheers,
Ali

We're diving in inland waters at the moment and the water temps are 5-7c.
Bruce, is the house in your third pic yours?

Thanks Bruce. Although the only "photoshopping" I did was a resize for the web....
I did use my 0.3, 0.6 and 0.9 Lee ND Grad filters though, hence the foreground detail....
Count.d - that reminds me of doing my bsac training on the west coast of Scotland in January a few years back. Water temp was 6 degrees - bit of a shocker for the mask clearing, but it cleared the hangover pretty darn quick!!!
Cheers,
Ali

Yes. Built by the Leeds-Liverpool Canal Company in 1794 as the Lock House. Christened by us the 'Polyfilla Villa' after we'd renovated it.

It looks like a lovely house Bruce.
Ali, I'm impressed with you using the Lee filters. I've yet to see another manufacturer produce a filter worth using.

This was 'that sunset' the other day from between the two cars.
The glow seemed to last ages.

....and she'd be quite right!
....although I always thought the DUI badge on my dry suit stood for Diving Under the Influence......

- thanks count.d I haven't really used the filters (or camera) as much as I would have liked, but it's something I'm hoping to rectify this year.
....this was the view looking the other way that morning, not quite as many giraffe's but a lovely and one day away from full moon!

Cheers,
