I have heard the Beolab 1 at a dealer and I must say I was impressed, they went loud with a very good bass imo. The sistem was a upmarket Marantz cdplayer into a Krell pre.
Their new range is wellrated in Scandinavia and they have put a lot of resources into both loudspeaker reseach as well as "digital" amp technology together with a danish university I recall reading somewhere. I believe they might be serious speakers..
