Feist - remixes

Posted by: rmatosev on 09 May 2006

I just bought new Feist album 'Open Season' containing remixes from succesful Let it Die album and some other collaborations.
I thought it would good idea to share it with you.
If you liked Let it Die, I am sure that you will find this CD interesting.
Acoustic songs (Mushaboom, When I was a Young Girl) get a sleek Euro-electronic makeover, whereas dance songs (One Evening, Inside and Out) are reworked in an intimate, acoustical manner.
The remixes are done with great style and even a sense of humour.
Just as Let it Die, the production and sound quality is immaculate.
One Evening (VV remix) is one of the best recorded electronic track I have heard and it will give good shake-up to your system (bass department especially).
Cover notes says: Headphones or enormous stereo required.
I guess you are all qualified. :-)

Thanks Ratko!

I loved Let It die, and always find re-mixed albums interesting. Will put in an order...

Wow - I didn't know about this one!!!!

Are you saying the album is let it die remixes plus new material or is it just remixes.

Either way it is a definite purchase.

By the way have you got the Feist/Gonzalez track on the Serg Gainsbourg revisited album. Great track from a very interesting album.

Well, this very new (not out in the UK yet) but you can find it on US and French Amazon.
More details about this album here
I forgot to mention beautiful version of Inside and Out recorded live with all recording mistakes.
Have a look at the web page.
Don't miss out videos section with very funny Mushaboom video (by Patrick Daughters), funny/sexy One Evening and fantastic live version of Mushaboom from Conan O'Brian show (though the one from Jimmy Kimmel is not bad either).
