No coffee in this town

I'm a bit upset that there is nowhere to go to get a decent espresso at 5am in Dunedin - other than the rubbish served in paper cups at BP petrol stations.

Thought I'd share that with the world.

Pop round my place if you want, although the best I can offer is some Illey.

If you can't sleep at this time in the morning then I fear you have already had enough cofee good or bad.

I never drink coffee after lunch. I just wake early nowadays in spite of myself (it's the devil's work).

having visited Dunedin I can certainly understand why.
Deane,
I would suggest a thermos flask might be in order.
And frankly unless you were a guest at a room service hotel I think the same would apply in any provincial city.
PS have you a proper government yet?

Indeed. Don Brash has conceded defeat to the Labour Party after losing a seat at final count. So now the deals for coalition will begin.

Made my day. Might bake a cake. There will be no National government.

Yippeee!
