I got a chance to see this show in NYC at Madison Square Garden on the brief tour they made that fall to support their friend Ronnie Lane. It was certainly an good example of this sort of all star show, which had, in NY at any rate, both Eric Clapton, Jeff Beck and Jimmy Page, and all three came out together to play on the big finale numbers, including Layla. Page was not as engaged as Beck, to put it mildly, and it was basically Clapton's touring band as the house band for most of the show. Clapton put in a fine set, so if you already have most of his better live releases, and you must, go for it.

That said, I doubt this is a legitimate release, probably some sort of bootleg would be my guess.
So, sound quality is not likely to be great, and many reviews on Amazon will not be made by people at all interested in sound quality.

If you want a somewhat rare Clapton live release, and don't have it, I would recommend the second volume of "The Crossroads Box Set", which is mostly taken from his 70's shows, and has tons of stretched out guitar playing. The record of Eric's I always liked the best is 461 Ocean Blvd. and you might still be able to get the two disc deluxe edition of that which includes a very good live date from his 1974 tour in support of that fine album.

Your move,

Bruce

Stu it is 20.99 + 6 expe = 27.
Thanks for the hint Stu. I have a shop near by, it makes it 25. Strange, it is having vinyls back since 20 or more yrs. It has quite a few, and the quality is excellent.
I had a JJ Cale period, but I didn't go back ever since. .. . I must give it a check.
