Norway wins Eurovision Song Contest!

I predicted this result within about the first two bars of the song and was so pleased that my musical judgement would be accurately seconded by the voting, which so often follows partisan lines rather than the real talent!

Well done Norway!!

Thanks guys but Iceland was the best. She was magnificent and the only performance that was great.....
But Iceland has not the funds to arrange this cirkus next year so we will do it for them Smile

BTW, my mother is from Iceland Cool

Well Frank, from a high-art context it doesn't fit - but I enjoyed the moment and appreciated the quality of the dancers and the fact that the lad wrote it himself.

However if it is certainly the kind of music that would do the rounds in Guantanamo Bay.

And I still reckon that this is a nice tale.

This is the first time I have seen anything of of the Eurovision song Contest for ten or twenty years, but this did rise above the inane dullness of the normal.

So who will host the next contest if the guy was a a Bellarussian?

Norway or Bellarusse?

LOL Big Grin

BTW, our fiddler has lived in Norway since he was 4, but is born in Minsk so it was smart to send him east for the silly contest..........or maybe not so smart; it will cost a lot of oil-money to arrange this cirkus next year Roll Eyes
