Led Zeppelin - Mothership or Remasters

I am not a hardcore fan, so please don't advise me to buy all the originals on vinyl, because I won't.
I have Remasters on CD. Some wonderful music, but the sound quality on a high end system I think is poor. The track listing on Mothership is similar if not identical. Has anyone on this forum direcly compared the sound quality of Remasters and Mothership on CD. I've done a search on the forum and found the link to TheTimes online article, but can't find anything else.
