TurboNegro

I had the good fortune of taking in TurboNegro's gig Saturday night at the Mean Fiddler. It was an incredibly enjoyable burst of tuned-up glam, a little old skool punk, and tongue-in-cheek scatology. While the staging was simple, it included nods to earlier travellers in rock's kitsch-buki, with a down-pillow replacing Alice Cooper's chicken and a bucket of "blood" a little more productive than Gene's capsules. If you can catch them on their tour this summer I would highly recommend it! The music is solid, and the show a lot of fun!
If you have not heard TurboNegro, I would highly recommend their earlier album, Apocalypse Dudes. While their current album, Scandinavian Leather, is enjoyable, it is not a patch imho on AD.
