Dear Nuno,

For what my opinion on PCs and stuff is worth, when I had a PC built up by a good friend, knowing that I would use the PC for such efforts as sound file editing asnd playback, he got me a damn good Creative Soundcard, and yes I was really pleased with the quality.

I think it cost about £90 and that was quite some years ago now, so not cheap at the time. If I had my way now, I would build another pure media PC, and dispense with CD replay altogether. To get it as good as possible would not be cheap, even now.

So Creative gets the thumbs up from me!

Thank you George,
I can try a x-Fi Creative in my PC connected to my Densen and see the results!
Listen pop and rock on MP3 format is OK,but classical and jazz only through the Naim CD player!
The idea of have all the cd´s in a library is fun!

Get yourself an M-Audio "audiophile" card. You should be able to pick one up on the bay for around 60 stirling. Far better than anything by Creative.

Hope this helps

I second the M-Audio. List price is US$130 so it should be within your budget.

I'm personally using the Apple Airport Express and stream wirelessly. More for convenience than sound quality really, but it's not bad. And if you have a DAC, it has an optical digital output.
