Goldfrap

Well just got Supernature on CD, DVD(2PCM, 5.1DD, 5.1DTS) and vinyl on it's way but so far (due to re-decoration) only been able to listen to it through a TV.

No single track as good as "Strict Machine" but all together a brilliant load of glam camp old nonsense. Think a blond bombshell had a drink with T Rex while here mate chatted to the Sweet and then they both met Vice Clark and borrowed and outfit (and a dose of camp) from Andy Bell and a whole sack load of sexiness from Deborah Harry.

Well it works for me

Going to be 2 weeks before I hear it on Naim and a month before I get my vinyl fix – still hoping the TV and iPod are giving me a taste of things to come.

Supernature is no Black Cherry/Felt Mountain. Give lcd soundsystem a go. You'll love it.

Daft Punk are playing at Rackkit's house.
Goldfrap do seem to have stolen from every track of "Now That's What I Call Music 1970 - 1980" but on closer listening father that Pastiche one can see/hear it's more Homage and in most cases they're able to pull it off rather better than the originators. Track 05 "Let It Take You" is beautiful and a sure candidate for "track of the year" I wish they'd do more like it rather than the Glitter/Sweet/Greenbaum charty pop stuff, still I guess that's what pays the rent. Well that and selling out to the ad-men.
