Put me out of my misery!

Posted by: Dave J on 14 March 2002

Creeping senility, excess alcohol etc prevents me from remembering the name of the Latino/Rock band who supported Santana on his US tour a year or so ago.

Were they Oxolatli, Ozolatel, Ozoalatli?

Someone please put me out of my misery!

Thanks

Dave

Thanks very much.

If buying for the first time, their first album (self titled) is far superior to their 2nd "Embrace the Chaos", IMHO.

Mike,

I've tried to find the first album today on the various sites that I use but have only been able to find "Embrace the Chaos". Any idea where I can get hold of a copy?

Thanks

Dave

On A&B Sound Online (followed another thread)

I discovered Ozomatli in a "High Fidelity" moment. The folks at A&B Sound were playing the CD- my foot immediately started tapping and I ended up buying the play copy, much to their dismay smile

Whenever I go to the States I take a long list of albums that I can't get here or are not always 'in stock' online. Invariably I end up buying tons of stuff that I didn't have any knowledge of or intention to buy.

Tower Records in New Orleans was SO much fun. Quite apart from Colonel Bruce Hampton and the Aquarium Rescue Unit, the Derek Trucks Band and others, I ended up buying some local CD's by Afroskull, Uncle Pat and Geno Delafose. Could have spent a whole day there and spent a bloody fortune (actually I did anyway but it could have been much worse).
