Cartridge alignment and the ARO

I replaced my Grado Sonata with a rebuilt Karma a few months ago. I haven't listend to a CD at home since.

The Grado had, to my ears, a hig level of inner groove distortion, which I attributed to bad overhang. Does this seem like a likely explanation?

If it is a likely explanation, what is the experience of ARO owners with such cartridges as the Benz Glider or the Dynavector 17D2 (1.5mm long)?

Besides the Karma, Troika, Archiv, Dyna T-K, Lyra Lydian, what carts are good geometric matches for the ARO?
