SACD and CD audio

I´ve been seeing some SACD Titles .Is SACD another audio format 5.1 or will it replace the CD audio?

MY system : Naim Nait 5 amplifier,Naim cd 5 ,Epos M 15 speakers,Naca5,FC2

Have a look at this thread it may answer some of your questions, but yes SACD is a different format from CD. CDs can be played on SACD machines though.

Will SACD replace CDs? Not bloody likely.

I still prefer my redbook players over SACD playback so far.

Multi-cahnel systems are too cumbersome to set up and lack of *good* titles is a problem for me.
