Away fans standing

I took the old man(he is 85) to watch our girls play West Ham away last saturday, and this may well be one of our last away games. The reason being a new breed has supporter has arrived at Fulham. Up until the end of last season we always used to sit,but now a few mindless idiots have decided to stand and it ends up with everyone having to stand, thats if they want to see the game. In his younger days this was not a problem for him but now its to much. What are peoples views on away(or even home fans) standing at games? Interested to hear from as many people as possible on this one !!!

Seats are for sitting in, IMO.
Exceptions celebrations/congratulations.
Of course standing so that the ref can see you as well as hear you. Roll Eyes

I also think it is not beyond the wit of man to make SAFE standing areas, but of course most smaller clubs have already had to at great expense provide all seaters.

each time we go to Upton Park we have found on the End stands people stand, but in the west stand we always get to sit. y kids could never see bugger all in the Bobby Moore stand and the Doc martin stand.
