But you'd have had to have broken the law for there to be any point. So you wish you'd also been stopped for a speeding offence too?
Maybe some clever, clever git could get off from having killed someone while speeding or drink-driving in the same way because the police made a content/typing/writing error when issuing the arrest warrant?
Then you could wish you'd written the letter about that as well!
This may show up the inadequacy of police literacy and training but it doesn't make the speeder a hero.

Christ, the bloke hasn't committed the crime of the century (He's been buzzed doing 72mph in a 62 mph limit - if everyone who'd done the same lost their licence tomorrow, the whole bloody country would grind to a halt.
This bloke however, now thats a different thing.
