Kan Replacements
Posted by: vicdiaz on 09 October 2002
Hi,
After an unsuccesful search for a KEF B110 SP157 driver for one of my Linn Kans, I'm embarking on the holy search for a new pair of speakers.
Being a Linnie at heart (but having a lot of naimee friends!!!).;) I decided to seek psychological advice in this forum.
I really liked the way my Kans sounded on my room so I'll prefer something very similar to them.
My room layout, WAF and kid(s) preclude me from floorstanders.
Candidates are:
Kan IV (will listen to it next week)
Katan (best candidate, but $$$)
Spendor S3/5 (listened them today)
Epos M12 (no idea how they sound, no dealer)
Rega Ala (listened them today)
The speakers will be wall-mounted using Sound Organization wall-mounts in place or new hardware.
Any comments or additional recommendations. Music preferences is mostly soft rock, classical, pop rock and violin (Suzuki Method for kids!!!)
The Tropical Linnie
Flat-Earther circa 1984
