nvi failure to signal lock

hi there

i have just connected an apple Tv unit to my nvi set up via an optical cable, and it finds it impossible to keep signal lock.
i run sky+, a ps3 and a blu ray player through the same optical switch with no problems (it's a bit slow to lock on sometimes but that was the firmwear choice i made)

As a solution to save my sanity i have connected it the analogue way but i lose the chance to use the surround capacity of the nvi.

any thoughts or is it just an apple/naim thing?

My ATV is connected to my AV2 with an optical cable and sound works perfectly (It mostly plays 720p 5.1 US TV shows).
It is no n-Vi but it is still an experience.

the only problem i have with my n-vi is v+ box fed via optical,almost always need to switch v+ box on twich before n-vi picks up signal, everything else i have connected into the n-vi via optical or coaxial works without any problems.

i think i have sorted it.

despite using a brand new cable, swapping it with one of my old (cheap) ones seems to have sorted it. The Naim and Apple love each other again.

Obviously i will be having words with my cable suppler
