I just heard a few minutes of his new disc and felt that it was worth buying.
Is this the best place to start with this guy ?

Personally, I would start with Shuffletown and work my way forward, interest permitting (about 5 discs total).
Closer to where you are, get Fuse, and then Scar, in that order. Scar is the closest to Voices in "feel" and chronologically.
