Greetings,
This was a topic of a huge thread at www.audioasylum.com last week following the Consumer Electronics Show in Lost Wages (Las Vegas).
The speakers are, well, not so easy on the eyes. So, the logic is I'm told, that they wanted to "put lipstick on a pig." For more on the lipstick.....:

Heard them at the CES. Sounded much worse than then a pair of far cheaper and less pretentious Harbeth Compact 7s in another room.

Audio Guru? Looks like a twat!
How does one become an audio Guru? Is it like making a product and calling it a "high end" product, and therefore it is because you said so?
Just what the world needed, another audio Guru.

Am I missing somthing or is this a kitchen worktop with a speaker where the sink should be.
I dont know about the drivers, but the "worktop" looks like it has been the subject of many hours of R&D.

Looks like he got the idea from a 4-seater outhouse.

Yes Simon, it's a kitchen worktop with drivers where the sink should be. The baffle's made of Corian, the same stuff used in "high-end" kitchen worktops. Also the Wilson WATT/PUPPIES can be considered a folded kitchen worktop
