For the second time in history a Scotsman wins the Indy 500. He’s in good company with the great Jim Clark.
Good racing!

Maybe not as poorly as you might think. The Indy 500 has had a more international flavor over the last 20 years or so.
The biggest PR problem was the time when Emo Fittipaldi wouldn't drink the traditional bottle of milk. He drank orange juice to promote his own orange farms. Silly thing, the milk company or whatever pays something like $100,000 USD to drink it after winning.

Its even more boring than GP racing! Round & round in circles (sorry, ovals) & they have to stop if it starts to even rain lightly. Yes, I know I'm probably missing the point, but even so..............................

Far less boring if you consider 220 MPH turns with about 4 G on the driver and 32 other drivers...

The biggest bonus must be that he doesn't have to live in a damp and cold Scotland...
Oval racing is very exciting once you get the hack of it.
