Damaged NAC92?

A few days ago I was disconnecting a tape deck from my NAC92. Unfortunately I'd forgotten to switch the NAP140 off so this was met with loads of loud feedback/distortion emanating from the Keilidhs!

Since this cock-up the bass soounds a lot less agile and more 'stodgy' than usual. Have I damaged the preamp/speakers? If so, are there any checks I could make before sending back to the factory?

I would be suprised if you had damaged the pre, its more likely the speakers. Have you any other speakers you could try?
