Me and my mate, the charming Nick Lees, would like to state our preference for Sat pm if at all possible.
Thanks in advance,

Doug should have posted but I guess he forgot/busy.
The usual story when you arrive at the show go to our check in/cd stand and put your name on the list. First come basis! not possible to pre-book sorry.

So this thread is a waste of time then Paul?
Alex
Posted on: 18 January 2002 by Doug Graham
No Alex it's not a waste of time. It means that we can allocate one session per day for Forum members. It's a garantee that you'll be able to meet up with the faces behind the names. It also enables us to break from the dem routine (7 sessions per day) and have a bit of banter with you guy's.

I wasn't trying to be rude, and indeed it will be a huge thrill to meet fellow enthusiasts and those responsible for giving us all such pleasure.
Nonethless, I had noticed that we were all voicing our pitiful attempts for Friday am, Saturday pm, Sunday am or whatever, when what we have to do is turn up and write our naims down at the CD shack, whereupon we'll be treated on a first come first serve basis. It may have helped to tell us of this procedure at the beginning of the thread.
Anyway, I'll be wearing a pink carnation if you want to. . . .

There will be one closed session per day exclusive to Forum members. This session might/might not include special dem? Might/might not include five course lunch with fine wines selected by Stallion and Alex S??. We express our interest here, on the Forum and will get confirmation that we are included on our chosen day. Saves need for pink carnations?
To hear the 'normal' dem, we turn up early and obtain ticket on first come first served basis, just like any other punter?
Seems fair enough.
Could you put me down for Sunday session please?
Cheers
Don

BTW Should I put you down for the Piat d'Or or the Blue Nun?
Posted on: 19 January 2002 by bam
Better be a BYO event! I'll probably owe Don a bottle of champers by then so I could bring that.
Posted on: 19 January 2002 by garyi
All arrive on said day, One of the admin will have put a special password on this forum. Go up and say the password for entry to the forum session.
A little cheesy, and hum mabye a little geeky but effective.

Bam,
I'll probably owe Don a bottle of champers by then so I could bring that.
Your champers is pretty safe at the moment! Nevertheless, please keep it chilled, just in case!

Should I put you down for the Piat d'Or or the Blue Nun?Clearly a man of taste. We must have gone through a dozen red Piat d'Or and two dozen Blue Nun over the holidays. All 1999/2000/2001 vintage of course.
However, since Paul S and Co would be funding this from future earnings donated by you, me, Bam and Co, in exchange for their new world beating products, I thought they would enjoy serving Robert Chevillon Nuits St Georges and a selection of Mosel Rieslings, amongst any others you care to mention!
Cheers, salute, bottoms-up, etc

The other half has agreed to join me! So an opportunity to get her to listen to some better kit can not be wasted!
So the two of us will be there on Sat if there are spaces left.
Cheers

If it's not too late put me down for 1 on the Friday please.
When are you thinking of doing the session?
Posted on: 30 January 2002 by Rico
Hoots, yer all so polite!
Doug, sadly won't be able to join you this year. I expect it's possible this lot won't forget their manners and insist you accompany them to the bar. Respect also to the Pauls, Mark, and Anna. We'll raise a glass of Cloudy Bay (or something good) on the day.
