Posting a new SLR camera. Worry about damage in post
Posted by: warwick on 10 April 2008
A friend here in London has got a new SLR camera worth a few hundred quid. It has been delivered to her parents in Scotland. She is worried about it
being damaged in the post. She is considering travelling up from London to Scotland to get it this weekend.
Surely it would be ok by courier if marked fragile.
Any suggestions ?
Thanks

If it is in it's original packing it will be fine....if not then pack it with a lot of bubble wrap and foam chips and it will be fine then as well.
Cheers

She should go and collect it. It will be nice to visit her parents.

When I received a lens and camera kit by mistake a couple of years ago from warehouseexpress.com, the Canon box with the kit inside was inside a larger box. I think I'd do that with bubble wrap in the space between.
