Dim the lights... please!

Hi guys!
I'm full of questions these days...
Did anyone find a creative way to dim the "headlights" on the Series 5? I mean, in a dark room I can read a book over them!
I don't really mind the, lets say, shabby look of the stuff but those lights... shoot me!
Äny advice is welcome!
