Stream Vs Cat 5/6

Hi all

Is there likely to be much of a difference in audio quality if I stream from my mac/ext hard drive to my Uniti, or hard wire it into the router? I've got a standard Sky router and a very awkward set up if I'm going to hard wire, so would rather not

I doubt there would be any difference. Can the LAN interface be turned off? If so, it would be interesting to compare the differences.

Being a bit dim here do you mean wireless as opposed to hardwire?

After many weeks of trying to get my qute to work without dropping a connection, and after great advice from Simon in Suffolk, I went for hardwire with as few connections as possible (dedicated switch for qute and NAS with an airport express to extreme). Still has it's moments, but works far better.

Tried wireless which was good when working but dropped out too often.

thanks - yes, hardwire vs wireless. i pick up the uniti tomorrow so i'll update with how i get on.
