Earth switch with ns01 and ndac

Hi,

In my current system I use an ns01 into NDAC as my only source.

In a serious attack of need for new tweeks, I have been thinking about the earth switches on both devices, how they should be set.

I seem to remember that both ns01 and ndac has an earth switch, but I am not sure. Anyway any advice on how to set the switches? and do I have to power down the devices before I use the switch?

Claus - if you have no other source connected to your Naim preamp then the nDac switch should be set to chassis. The S/PDIF link between NS01 and nDac is transformer coupled so the position of the ground switch on the NS01 shouldn't matter. Worth experimenting just to be sure. You don't need to power off to switch the grounding. Let us know how you get on.
