JRiver - Asset question: Nearly all files twice???

Posted by: Thorsten_L on 05 May 2012

Hi!

When I click on MUSIK in my JRIVER Mediacenter, it shows nearly all songs of the albums twice.

One located in my music folder, the other at an IP-address...????

Are the files now twice "somewhere"???

I note that one source reports a FLAC file. The other reports a larger WAV file. You don't have both by any chance? If not is the IP address the address where you're Music folder is located and both are reporting the same file? Also is one the wav expansion of the FLAC as done by Asset for example?

Look at how much storage you have used up this should tell you if the files are duplicated...unlikely.

Excuse me for joining in, but I am new to the J River and Naim Uniti experience and have the same symptom as MusicLover.  You mention shutting down 'Asset' - what is it and where can I find it to shut it down please?  I am running version 17 of the s/w.  Thanks.

When you start up Asset UPnP you click "disabled".

Then the double files are gone.

Sorry, I misunderstood - I thought Asset was a part of JRiver.

I must have something else causing the same kind of symptoms. I will have to take another look later when I'm back at home and linked back into the network there.
