Connecting NDX To WiFi / n-Stream App

Posted by: gtiboy on 28 May 2012

Hi guys, i'm abit of a beginner when it comes to Naim but my questions are..

How do you guys connect the NDX to WiFi to stream internet radio?

Also how do you get the n-Stream app to find the NDX to play USB stick playlists?

You'll find the manual here which explains all of the above

If you haven't looked at the manuals it is quite simple.

Turn on the NDX, it will find the Wi-Fi network and ask for your password. Enter it and it connects.

Then you have Internet radio.

With NStream app, choose inputs. Select USB. Everything on the USB will show.

Then play. And enjoy.

Thanks, so just to confirm, the n-Stream app will only work if the NDX is connected via Wifi network in order to see the NDX on the app?

Strictly speaking, using the n-Stream app is optional; so is Wifi.  If you want to use n-Stream (I recommend it), then Wifi is required only for the iPad.  The built-in Wifi in the NDX is normally not used, unless you cannot get a network wire to it.

Yep,

As Nick says. To clarify: You can connect NDX to a wired network. Then you only need Wi-Fi for the n-stream app for iPhone or iPad if you want to use it.

The NDX will obviously work perfectly without the n-Stream app.

I have my Uniti on Wi-Fi for convenience - but Naim do recommend having it wired for best sound.
