Punk Britannia on BBC4

1st of a 3 parter shown last Friday 1st June and covered the build up to the punk explosion from 1972-1976. Great programme with some excellent old footage and good interviews. If you missed it take a peek at it on iPlayer - well worth it! Parts 2 & 3 to be aired the next two Fridays.

FWIW I thought these so called pub bands offer so much more than most of the tripe that was passed as punk "music".

There were lots of great punk rock groups .. What about Ed Banger an the Nosebleeds .. "Ain't been to no music school" is a classic .. And what about the Lurkers .. Fulham Fallout was a good album

Fulham Fallout was indeed a great album.

And there were some great singles too. The Boys' First Time comes to mind.

I do recall their first album wasn't exactly great though.
