Cd5i lens

I used the torch on my i phone to check whether there was any dust on the lens of the player. The light was about 4 cm from the lens and the lens started moving up and down. It was a bit disconcerting. I suspect it was the light causing the lens to react in this way. Have I damaged the lens in any way? Thanks

I would doubt that you've damaged the lens itself. I imagine the servo controls for the lens, thinking your light was laser light reflected from a CD, were "hunting" to find focus (which of course, they couldn't do). Strange that the servos remain powered, even when the player isn't being asked to play anything. I'd suggest turning it off next time.
