What a great (and great sounding) album of quiet contemporary retro prog.  G

Have a look on You Tube at the official 'Drag Ropes' video.

As for the album - some utterly amazing pieces, in other parts the production (of all things) lets it down I think. The production thing is (very ) likely to be intentional I guess, but I don't understand why that would be?

I just love the final few tracks, I have to admit. A friend was round this afternoon, and we were supposed to leave at 5pm. Didnt happen, 5.45 and the phone call - where are you?? Thats what this album does - drags you in.

Thanks for that - A stragely sinister yet beautiful film to match the music.  I need to listen louder to hear the true recording quality but at moderate volume it sounds nice.  G

Well something aint quiet right for me with most of track three, especially when the 'orchestra' (mellotron?) kicks in. Maybe as I said, done on purpose for atmosphere. I just doesn't work for me as the voices over the mix just distort @ 3.55 on. Why??

Other than that - a great album and to be fair i'm probably nit-picking, but then again - he is "THE" re-engineer king at the moment.

Graeme,

Thank you for the heads up! I guess I'd have bought it blindly anyway, but watching the movie on Youtube made the decision even more evident.
