I've just connected my new Oppo BDP-93 Bluray player to the "OP2" input on my AV2.
The volume level is so low, I have to turn the AV2 right up to over 70 on the display. Not a problem as such, but potentially dangerous when I switch to another source such as SkyHD, which is VERY LOUD even with the volume on number 50. The SkyHD box is connected to "OP1".
Obviously I don't want to damage my speakers or blow my ears out.
Is there a way to alter the "OP2 input" gain level without adjusting all of the inputs?
I've done a forum search and read the instruction manual (not very clear as I imagine most AV2 owners would agree) but haven't been able to find anything so far.
Any help greatly appreciated.

Thanks for your input Gerry.
It's only this one input (or the source) that is very low in volume, everything else is right up there so I am pretty sure Midnight hasn't been selected. Maybe the Oppe BDP93 just has a low output level?
Anyone any thoughts on this?
Anyone know for sure of the input levels are adjustable or not on the AV2?
Unfortunately it's a two man job to get around the back of my system to try swapping the optical leads over to see if the Oppo works louder through OP1 otherwise I'd have tried that already...

Apart from swapping the optical inputs you could try the coaxial input - both Sky and the Oppo have these.
I would just check the Midnight function as this only operates on Dolby decoding if you were decoding with Dolby on the Oppo but DTS on Sky.
Having said this I have to adjust the volume levels on my AV2 depending on input, but not to the extent that you do.

I'm wondering whether you have the digital output setting on the Oppo set to downmix or output a m/c bitsream as a 2 channel stereo PCM signal. This can account for a sizeable drop in level. Not knowing the Oppo I don't even know if this is possible with the player, but perhaps worth investigating the output format of the player's digital o/p.

Thanks Richard, I'll check that - I know there are options for the output format.
When I've checked it over, I'll report back!
What should it ideally be set to, assuming I have an available option :-)
