Please Help Me Restore My UServe!

Please help!

My Userve is back from repair for the second time, once again wiped of the 300+ albums I ripped for the second time.  But this time at least I had made a copy of most of the "MQ" folder on a NAS before the Serve crapped out a second time.

I have found and selected the NAS as a network share.  I have also promoted the "NAS\Public" as a music store, and am now trying to move the copied files back to the UServe.

Here is my problem.  The copied albums are in a subfolder (i.e., "NAS\Public\UServe Backup\MQ").  But when I try to move the music, I get an error message ("there are no albums on NAS\Public").

When I promoted the NAS as a music store, it created 3 new folders on the NAS, including a new "MQ" folder.  I have even tried moving a few albums into the newly created MQ folder, but it still doesn't find anything.

Any suggestions on how to get the music from my NAS back to the Serve?

Hi,

Something is not right. I have a SSD Unitiserve so have not tried to restore from NAS. However I cannot understand why, when you promoted the share to a store it created extra folders.

Have you created a share on the Unitiserve hard drive?. If so it should be a simple process to copy back.

The post below may be of help.

Don't use the US 'Move Music' option, instead use Windows copy/paste to put the files into MQ, then use 'Rescan' to index the music store... simple (!!???)

I have a MAC!  I've tried dragging and dropping but it doesn't seem to work.
